Frequently Asked Questions

Premium Room FAQs

What does the Premium Room at InterContinental Presidente Cozumel Resort Spa look out on?
The Premium Room is a beach-view room that looks over the resort's private shoreline. The resort sits on nearly 1,000 feet of white-sand private beach on Cozumel's southwest shore, and it fronts the Arrecifes de Cozumel marine park. You wake to the water and the light.
How are the beds arranged and how many guests can the room sleep?
The room has one king bed and sleeps 3 guests. A complimentary rollaway or extra bed can be added for the third person. The king bed is made up with Egyptian cotton sheets, premium hypo-allergenic bedding and a down comforter.
How big is the Premium Room and is it comfortable for a longer stay?
The room measures 452 sq. ft. as a one-bedroom layout. Blackout drapes and air conditioning help with rest and daytime heat. Turndown service, a minibar, a safe and a flat-screen TV with cable make it easy to settle in for several nights.
What is the bathroom like, and is the room suitable for guests with mobility needs?
The private bathroom has a rainfall showerhead, a hand-held, height-adjustable showerhead and a heated floor. Bathrobes, slippers and designer toiletries are provided. Accessibility features include an accessible bathtub with a 20-inch-high grab bar, a shower grab bar, 39-inch wheelchair-width doorways and low-height door locks. The resort also has ramp access to its restaurants, bars and leisure facilities.
Is this room a good choice for couples or families?
It works for both. One king bed suits couples, and the free rollaway lets a small family of three share the room. The resort welcomes guests of all ages. It has a children's pool and the free, supervised Planet Trekkers kids' club, which runs from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Adults who want quiet can use the dedicated tranquility pool.
What is included with a Premium Room stay, and what costs extra?
The room comes with complimentary self-parking and valet parking, free supervised kids' club activities and Wi-Fi in the hotel's public areas. Daily buffet breakfast is a paid extra, at roughly USD 28 for adults and USD 14 for children. Cabanas, premium lounge chairs and some spa and pool extras are charged separately, so it helps to ask at check-in what applies.
Where can I eat and swim, and what is there to do on site?
There are four restaurants: El Caribeño for open-air breakfast, lunch and dinner by the sea, Le Cap Beach Club for Mediterranean dishes, Alfredo Di Roma Trattoria for Italian dinners, and Faro Blanco for coastal dinners. There are two bars and two outdoor pools, one with an infinity edge and ocean views. Ikal Spa is open 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The on-site Scuba Du dive center offers snorkeling and dive gear and tours, with the marine park right in front of the resort.
How do I get to the resort from Cozumel airport?
The resort has no complimentary airport shuttle, so guests arrange their own transport. A taxi from Cozumel International Airport takes roughly 9 to 15 minutes depending on the route and traffic. There is no rideshare app on the island. Downtown San Miguel is about 7 minutes from the resort, and the ferry to Playa del Carmen leaves from there.
What are check-in and check-out times and the basic rules to know before arriving?
Check-in is from 3:00 PM and check-out is at 12:00 noon. The main guest must be at least 18 and show a photo ID and credit card at check-in. The hotel is smoke-free, with a designated outdoor smoking area. Small pets are welcome for a fee, but they are not allowed on the beach, at the pools or in the spa.
When is the best time to book a beach-view room on Cozumel?
December to April is the dry season, with calmer seas, lower humidity and the clearest underwater visibility, though it also overlaps with peak cruise-ship traffic. October and November are quieter and often better value. Hurricane season runs June to November, but direct hits on Cozumel are historically rare.
